47 investigation teams working in Batken

AKIPRESS.COM - 47 investigative and operative groups are working in Batken region to investigate and calculate the damage done during the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, the Interior Ministry reports on May 4.
First Deputy Interior Minister Suyun Omurzakov is coordinating the investigative teams. Currently, the size of damage to victims in the villages of Kulundu, Maksat, International, Arka-1, Arka-2 and Jashtyk is being calculated.
Investigation looks into cases of beating, destruction of houses, and robberies in the Batken region.
Investigation teams include representatives of local authorities, the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Omurzakov said.
Policemen keep patrolling the border area 24h. As of May 4, the situation in Batken is stable, according to the Interior Ministry.
