Manas book written by Professor Hayrettin Ivgin published in Turkey

AKIPRESS.COM - Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with Prof. Dr. Hayrettin Ivgin and former governor of Tokat province of Turkey Ayhan Nasuhbeyoglu on April 26, the Kyrgyz foreign ministry reports. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Ivgin told about the translation and publication in Kyrgyz language of the book Manas written by him based on the Kyrgyz epic and originally published in Turkish language. The book was also translated into Azerbaijani and Uzbek languages, and soon it is planned to complete the translation and publication in Kazakh, Turkmen and Russian languages. As author noted, the Kyrgyz translation of the book was published with the assistance of the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA).
In turn, Ambassador Mr. Omuraliev expressed gratitude to the author for his contribution to the popularization of the epic "Manas" and, at the same time, the Kyrgyz culture.
