Projects worth $887 million planned in Karakalpakstan

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev became familiarized with the investment projects that will be carried out in Karakalpakstan of Uzbekistan on March 9.
The list includes 771 projects valued at $887 million, the president's press service reported.
More than 200 projects will be implemented in industry, 280 in services, 230 in agriculture.
The projects will allow to produce goods for $222 million. Over 22,000 new work places will be created.
Karakalpakstan is abundant with natural resources. 150 projects are planned in mining, processing and production of construction materials. The output of prospective ventures is estimated at more than 1 trillion soums ($95.12 million).
40 textile and 16 pharmaceutical plants will be created, where more than 5,000 people will work.
