Atambayev's supporters gather in courtroom waiting for trial

AKIPRESS.COM - Supporters of former President Almazbek Atambayev gathered in the Pervomaisky district court of Bishkek December 23. More than 50 people inside and near the court building are waiting for the beginning of the trial. Some of them are holding posters demanding Atambayev's release.
The case to be heard today includes such defendants as Atambayev, MPs Irina Karamushkina, Asel Koduranova, former MPs Mairbek Miskenbayev and Ravshan Jeenbekov, former Interior Minister Abdulda Suranchiev, former mayor Albek Ibraimov and others.
