Domestic debt can't be restructured, but payments made on time: Novikov

AKIPRESS.COM - "Despite the fact that domestic debt can't be restructured, we don't have delays in payment and servicing the domestic debt," said acting Prime Minister Artem Novikov at the Parliament session considering the report on execution of the public budget of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2019. MP Almazbek Toktorov asked what banks the securities were placed in for 7.7 billion soms in 2019 and what were the interest rates.
"Depending on the maturity of the securities, the interests ranged from 5 to 12%, 12% for 7-10 years. They were placed in private banks, and government securities are also purchased by the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic," Novikov said.
