Police officer detained in Suzak for bribery

AKIPRESS.COM - Employees of the Anti-Corruption Service of the National Security Committee together with the Internal Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained a criminal police officer of Suzak district department of internal affairs. The officer was detained on November 9 red-handed while receiving 30,000 soms bribe.
The detainee extorted $1000 in exchange for stopping a criminal prosecution of the victim's close relative, the statement said.
Probe into extortion of bribes was launched.
Detained person was taken into custody in Jalal-Abad town.
