Case of buying overpriced police stun guns transferred to National Security Committee

AKIPRESS.COM - The case materials on the purchase of police stun gun flashlights were transferred to the National Security Committee, said the press service of the Interior Ministry. Sources from law enforcement bodies said 400 stun guns for the Bishkek police department were purchased for 5,600 soms each, although the market price per stun gun was 600 soms.
Probe into violation of the procedure for conducting public tenders, auctions was launched.
In order to establish the legality of the purchase of stun guns and other special devices, the materials were transferred to the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
