Russian President's press secretary comments on President Sooronbai Jeenbekov's resignation

AKIPRESS.COM - Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on the situation with resignation of President Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
"It is impossible to judge the situation based on some emotional criteria. Any actions which may help stabilization of the situation in the country and return to the constitutional framework are important now," RIA Novosti cited Peskov as saying.
"We are closely monitoring the situation in Kyrgyzstan and want the situation there to calm down and develop exceptionally in line with the Constitution as soon as possible without any destructive actions from any side," Peskov said.
He added the contacts with Kyrgyzstan are maintained.
When asked to elaborate on these contacts, Peskov said more information will be provided when situation becomes more clear.
"We very closely monitor the situation," Peskov said, adding legislative actions and approval of Jeenbekov's resignation are coming tomorrow.
President Sooronbai Jeenbekov announced the decision to resign on October 15.
