Damage from corruption and official crimes topped 1.2 billion soms in Kyrgyzstan since 2018

AKIPRESS.COM - 2,981 cases of power abuse, bribery and corruption offences have been revealed since 2018 in Kyrgyzstan, Chairman of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes Bakir Tairov said during the meeting of the Security Council on Sept 17.
Damage to the state amounted to 1.2 billion soms, and so far 585,400,000 soms have been compensated to the state.
2,981 criminal cases have been registered, and 291 of them have made it to the court.
Property was seized for a total of 8.5 million soms.
392 state and municipal employees were brought to criminal responsibility.
