WHO registers Kazakhstan's second COVID-19 vaccine candidate

AKIPRESS.COM - World Health Organization has included the second coronavirus vaccine of Kazakhstan into the list of vaccine candidates, International Vaccine Research Center Director Kaisar Tabynov said.
"I am glad to announce our subunit SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) vaccine based on nanoemulsion oil adjuvant has been included in the list of vaccine candidates by the World Health Organization. This vaccine is the joint product of the International Vaccine Research Center under the Kazakh National Agrarian University and the National Research Center for Highly Dangerous Infections. The vaccine is undergoing pre-clinical trials," Kaisar Tabynov said on Facebook.
It was announced earlier WHO included Kazakhstan's deactivated coronavirus vaccine into the list of vaccines under clinical trials. The vaccine was developed by the Biosecurity Research Institute of the Science Committee under the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan.
