"Surge in spread of coronavirus infection in Kazakhstan has been stopped. The situation has stabilized and is under full control of the government, Health Ministry, sanitary and epidemiological authorities. We may say the country has passed the critical period. It is yet early to relax. The next important step is further reduction of new and lethal cases not only from this coronavirus, but from other factors," he said.
The official urged to respect health measures.
Kazakhstan has so far registered 99,442 coronavirus cases and 1,269 lethal cases.
