Sanitary precautionary measures for upcoming parliamentary elections estimated at 60 million soms

AKIPRESS.COM - The Central Election Commission is considering sanitary precautinary measures to ensure safety of voters and election commission members during upcoming parliamentary elections set for October 4.
Around 60 million soms will be required for these measures, it said.
The Central Election Commission added it is working with international development partners on this issue. Some of them, including UNDP, KOICA, OSCE, Embassies of Japan, Korea, Germany, Switzerland, USAID and others, expressed readiness to provide assistance to address emergency needs.
As of July 16, the voter list included 3,429,043 voters. The total number of precinct election commission members will make 30,833 people. 1,846 voter identification operators and 4,680 police officers will be involved into organization of voting and protection of public safety.
