Over 16,000 medical specialists trained to combat COVID-19

AKIPRESS.COM - The distance and on-site training courses are held in Kyrgyzstan for health workers on prevention, treatment, diagnosis, safety measures and infection control of COVID-19, the nation-wide operative team for coronavirus prevention reports. 16,422 specialists were trained at the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute of Retraining and Professional Development of Bishkek from Feb 5 to July 6.
8936 health workers passed the distance courses and 7506 medical workers on the proper use of personal protective equipment, including 3038 doctors, 3759 nursing specialists, 70 residents and 639 junior and other staff.
326 specialists from laboratory departments of healthcare organizations were trained in rapid testing for COVID-19.
