Parliament passes bill on improvement procedure of judges selection in 3rd reading

AKIPRESS.COM - The parliament considered and passed the amendments to the laws on council for selection of judges and status of judges in the second and third readings on Feb 27. The amendments were authored by lawmakers Tynchtyk Shainazarov, Bekten Sydykov, Emil Toktoshev.
The draft law on judges status is aimed at improving the procedure of judges selection. The threshold score was proposed to be introduced, which will be established by the Council. A candidate for judge position who has not reached a threshold score has right to participate in other competitive selections for judges vacancies only after one year.
