Kazakhstan halts road transportation with China, Uzbekistan, Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan suspended road transportation in conneciton with declaration of the emergency situation over coronavirus, Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Berik Kamaliev told a briefing today, zakon.kz reported. Regular bus service between Kazakhstan and China, Uzbekistan and Mongolia have been suspended, Kamaliev said.
Issuance of permits for Kazakh transportation companies was halted for irregular routes to Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, China, Mongolia, Ukraine and Tajikistan.
Mini-bus service between Kazakhstan, Russia and Kyrgyzstan was reduced 2 times.
No restrictions were imposed on transportation of food products, consumer goods, medical supplies, postal items, the Vice Minister said
