AKIPRESS.COM - A passenger of the crashed plane outside Almaty Temirlan Kadauov has been awarded for bravery in emergency situations, Interfax reported.
The 23-year-old Kadauov on Thursday, January 2, received the award by chief of the city police Serik Kudebayev.
"The young man showed a bravery in emergency situations and covered a pregnant woman, who was sitting next to him, with his body. In addition, he helped evacuate other passengers until the arrival of all emergency services despite his injuries," the statement says.
The Fokker-100 plane of the Bek Air company departing from Almaty to Nur-Sultan on December 27 lost altitude, struck the concrete fence and hit the 2-storey building in the village of Almaty region.
12 people died, including commander of the aircraft. More than 50 people received injuries. A total of 93 passengers and 5 crew members were on board.
Director of the Bek Air Erik Saparov claimed that the reason for the incident could be a trail line, which was left by another plane a minute ago until the departure of the Fokker-100.
