Ak-Suu orphanage has no children: Public fund

AKIPRESS.COM - To date, the Ak-Suu orphanage has no children, said the president of "Childhood institute" public fund Nurjamal Jakubova at the meeting with journalists on Dec 13. According to her, 64 children lived in the orphanage and within half a year they were sent biological and foster families, as well as to "SOS children's villages" family houses in Cholpon-Ata.
The distribution of children was held within the framework of the project on family custody, which envisages the de-institutionalization of childcare facilities so that the child does not sent to orphanage.
13 children were returned to biological families, 3 children are in the extended families, 1 child under the custody, 3 children are in the foster families, 18 children were placed in family houses in Cholpon-Ata.
