Successful implementation of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project to boost transit capacity of entire Central Asia: Jeenbekov

AKIPRESS.COM - Development of transport corridors linking the Central Asian states with the external markets is of a particular importance for the region, President Sooronbai Jeenbekov said at the consultative meeting of the Central Asian leaders in Tashkent.
For this reason it is important to carry out big infrastructure projects that would connect the region with the world markets, he said.
This would boost regional economic cooperation and bring foreign direct investments and latest technologies, Jeenbekov added.
The biggest project is construction of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. Its successful implementation would boost the transit capacity of the entire region.
The railway would bridge Europe and Asia, the President stressed.
