Migrant workers in Uzbekistan to receive microcredits

AKIPRESS.COM - Citizens of Uzbekistan leaving abroad to work will be provided microcredits of 2 million soums (around $210) a year to cover expenses related to employment. The Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan announced a memorandum of cooperation was signed with the micro-finance organizations.
Migrant workers have to be registered in the labor migration program.
Microcredits will be provided at 10% in 2019-2020, at 12% in 2021.
Migrant workers will also receive 50,000 soums ($5) in lump sum to cover insurance expenditures.
