20 million soms not enough for Botanical Garden: MP

AKIPRESS.COM - 1.9 million soms were envisaged from the budget 2020 for the wages of employees of the Science Academy, whereas 350 million soms were allocated for science development, said Vice PM Altynai Omurbekova at the parliament meeting. MP Ainuru Altybayeva said that government needs to allocate funds for scientists studies.
"You allocated 20 million soms to Botanical Garden, but it is not enough for irrigation. It is necessary to allocate funds for improvement of garden's infrastructure," said Altybayeva.
Vice Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov replied that 20 million soms envisaged for these purposes.
"Let them use these funds, it is the first tranche, other funds are envisaged in the second half of a year," said Boronov.
