Only Historical Museum of Kyrgyzstan is closed because of some officials — MP

AKIPRESS.COM - Two years past as the Historical Museum in Bishkek was closed and it is still not open, MP Emil Toktoshev (Ata-Meken) said today at the Parliament session. "The Ata-Meken faction visited the museum in spring 2018 and get acquainted with its exhibits and sent a letter to the government. In the government, we were told that the museum will be opened on August 21, 2018, but it is still not open. Because of 4-5 officials the only historical museum is still closed," he noted.
The parliamentarian said that the funds for maintainance of the museum and salaries of its employees go everyday.
The lawmaker urged to open the museum for tourists even if the hearings continue.
