Lawmaker urges to resume work of 2 checkpoints on Kyrgyz-Kazakh border closed in 2010

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Kenjebek Bokoyev (Respublika - Ata-Jurt party) during the Parliament session today touched the issue of checkpoints on Kyrgyz-Kazakh border in Talas region. According to him, Amanbaevo, Talas-sovhoz and Kenesh checkpoints were closed in 2010. One of these checkpoints (Kenesh) is open now, but two others remain closed.
The parliamentarian says that locals have to travel 150 km through Taraz to get some villages and proposed to resume the work of 2 checkpoints.
Bokoyev has first raised this issue in June 2018.
