Turkmenistan state delegation pays working visit to Great Britain

AKIPRESS.COM - The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Agriculture and Environment Protection as well as the Governor of the Ahal region of Turkmenistan arrived to United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, London on Sept 30, Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
The meetings of the Turkmen delegation with the Prime-minister's Special Trade Envoy for Turkmenistan Baroness Emma Nicholson, as well as in the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs of the United Kingdom took place in the first day of the visit.
During the meetings, the parties noted with satisfaction the friendly nature of Turkmen-British relations and presence of substantial potential for expanding cooperation in different spheres.
The parties discussed a number of current issues, including the opportunities for cooperation in the area of applying digitalization to the agricultural sector, enhancing the labor productivity, exchange of experience and scientific researches between the agricultural educational institutions of two countries.
On October 1, the delegation of Turkmenistan visited a number of research-and-development centers of the Northern Ireland.
In addition, the Turkmen delegation visited the "Movangher" Fish Farm and met with its leading staff, as well as was acquainted with the activities of the fish farm.
The program of the working trip also consists of the visit to the Institute of Rural Food Industry and Biological Sciences, as well as the Institute of Global Food Security.
