Uzbekistan bans individual entrepreneurs cashing income in foreign currency

Tashkent, Sept.6, 2019. /Kabar/. Individual entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan with income in foreign currency are entitled to withdraw funds from bank accounts only in national currency. This is provided for in the relevant resolution of President of Uzbekistan, the Telegram-channel of the Justice Ministry reported today.
According to the amendments, individual entrepreneurs without a legal entity, as well as farms with income in foreign currency, have the right to withdraw cash from their bank accounts only in national currency. Cases of reasonable use of foreign currency abroad are exception.
Recall that, individual entrepreneurs and farmers were able to withdraw cash foreign currency from their bank accounts in the fall of 2017, when President signed a decree on the liberalization of foreign exchange policy.
