Rehabilitation of Tashkent circus to cost $5.5 million

AKIPRESS.COM - Reconstruction of Tashkent circus has started. The budget of the project is $5.5 million, Tashkent mayor's office said. The front side of the circus building will be renewed with the initial design kept. The rehabilitation will include repair of heating and ventilation systems, electricity network, water drainage system. The interior of the circus will be repaired.
Rehabilitaiton is expected to complete by March 2020.
The first circus was built in Tashkent in 1914, it was destroyed by the devastating earthquake in 1966. The new circus was built in 1976. The last major repair was carried out in 1999.
