About $53,000 needed for restoration of Arys after ammunition explosion

AKIPRESS.COM - About 20 billion tenge ($53,000) are needed for restoration of the city of Arys, Chairman of the Emergency Situations Committee of Kazakhstan Vladimir Bekker said at a press conference, Zakon.kz reports. He said 7,600 houses were destroyed after warehouse blast, according to preliminary report.
"By evening of July 1, the figure reached more than 8,000. We have discussed this issue, the material damage is estimated at about 20 billion tenge. I think the final calculations will be ready by July 15 as working groups are still establishing the figures," Bekker said.
Experts are in the city to inspect the damaged sites, he noted.
