Tajik Education Minister complains about persecution of Tajik students in Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz Education Ministry says no complaints received

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan said the management of universities have not received complaints about persecution from Tajik students.
Minister of Education and Science of Tajikistan Mahmadyusuf Inomzoda said earleir Tajik students do not want to continue their studies in Kyrgyzstan due to received threats and persecution.
The Ministry of Education said the management of universities of Kyrgyzstan provided necessary support to nationals of Tajikistan in the period of escalation of tensions on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
"1,932 nationals of Tajikistan studied in universities in Kyrgyzstan in 2020-2021. In connection with coronavirus pandemic, most universities had online studies. All students are having summer break now. The issues of transfer of students are considered in accordance with national legislation," the Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan said.
