AKIPRESS.COM - The day of electoral silence has started since 8.00 a.m. of July 10 in Kyrgyzstan ahead of repeat local council elections in Bishkek, Osh and Tokmok.
Campaigning, public calls and mass events calling for participation or non-participation in elections are banned on this day.
The final voter list for the repeat local council elections include 617,517 voters. 69% of them or 426,699 are registered in Bishkek, 6% or 152.718 in Osh and 25% or 38,100 in Tokmok.
18 parties run in the repeat local council election in Bishkek.
9 parties run in the repeat local council election in Osh.
6 parties run in the repeat local council election in Tokmok.
Polling stations will stay open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on July 11.
