AKIPRESS.COM - Cabinet chief Ulukbek Maripov reproved Minister of Agriculture Askarbek Janybekov and reprimanded Deputy Minister Nurlan Sheripov, and instructed to consider the compliance with the post of Deputy Minister of Agriculture Azamat Mukashev att an extraordinary meeting on June 24.
The Cabinet of Ministers assessed the work of the Ministry of Agriculture to ensure food security as insufficient.
"Problems of lack of water, issues of food security would not have arisen if you paid due attention to it in time. Stop making excuses. The responsible ministry should have thought about solving the problems from the very beginning. Let's take the last 5 months; it was tasked to analyze the work of water users associations. As of today, not a single proposal was made. There is a minimum of information on the implementation of the cluster mechanism in the regions. In general, the work of the Ministry of Agriculture is assessed as insufficient," Maripov said.
