Ex-GKNB officer detained in Sept for bribes cleared of charges

AKIPRESS.COM - Oktyabr district court cleared former GKNB officer of charges on June 18, the ex-officer arrested by financial police in 2020 for extorting a bribe. On June 23, the press service of the Bishkek city court said the suspect was acquitted and found not guilty for the following charges: destruction of documents, power abuse, extortion of bribe.
The former GKNB employee was detained on September 4, 2020 red-handed while receiving $1,000.
On September 11, 2020 the internal investigation was completed and the officer was dismissed from the national security agencies for defamation.
