National Security Committee investigating probe into deaths during coronavirus pandemic in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The State National Security Committee is investigating the criminal probe into deaths during the coronavirus pandemic in Kyrgyzstan.
Previously, the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes investigated the deaths during pandemic dubbed "Dark July 2020" in Kyrgyzstan.
Several high-ranking officials were summoned for questioning by the financial police, including two former prime ministers, Muhamedkaly Abilgaziyev and Kubatbek Boronov, former vice prime ministers Altynai Omurbekova and Aida Ismailova, and others.
Former Minister of Health Kosmosbek Cholponbaev was detained. He is currently under house arrest.
In March, the government shut down the financial police. In this regard, the pre-trial materials were forwarded to the GKNB.
