AKIPRESS.COM - Road reconstruction is continuing in Bishkek as part of the second phase of the development of Bishkek's street and road network project financed by Chinese grant, said mayor's office.
26 km of roads are being built in the residential areas including Archa-Beshik, Ak-Orgo, Ak-Ordo, Jenish, Ak-Bosogo, Ene-Sai, Ak-Tilek, Uchkun and Yntymak settlements.
The second phase of the project envisages construction of 34.1 km of roads in residential areas in 2 years.
A total of 44 streets will be completed this year and 16 streets will be completed in 2022.
A total of 5 bridges and 60 streets with the total length of more than 70 km will be repaired, the pavement on 630,000 square meters will be renewed, 130 km of sidewalks will be built, and 46,000 irrigation flumes will be replaced.
