AKIPRESS.COM - The Bishkek mayor's office launched four buses until the situation with public vans (marshrutka) is resolved. According to the mayor's office, the buses were provided by the Manas International Airport.
Drivers of a number of transportation companies in Bishkek refused to drive in the morning of June 2 demanding to raise the fare.
This caused a transport standstill in Bishkek, the citizens could not get to works and schools in the morning, trolleybuses and buses were overcrowded.
The strike was planned back on May 3, but was cancelled due to the situation in Batken border.
