Uzbekistan to launch production of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine

AKIPRESS.COM - Russia and Uzbekistan reached agreement on local production of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in Uzbekistan. A site for production of the vaccine was already chosen by the Uzbek authorities, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko told RIA Novosti.
Health Minister Murashko visited Uzbekistan on May 28, where he was received by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
"We agreed on localization of Sputnik V production in Uzbekistan as instructed by President Vladimir Putin and the President of Uzbekistan," Murashko said after the talks.
The Russian Health Minister added the Uzbek side has chosen a site for production of the Russian coronavirus vaccine already.
It was announced earlier Uzbekistan received the first consignment of Sputnik V vaccine on April 23 and the second consignment of vaccines on April 27.
