Three senior medical officials sacked after loss of almost 1,000 Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine

AKIPRESS.COM - The Chief of the Family Medicine Center #2 and her deputy, Director of the United Family Medicine Center #1 were dismissed after loss of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccines, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development Uluk-Bek Bekturganov said at the meeting of the Budget and Finances Committee of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan on May 24. Vaccines were destroyed after the refrigerator turned off at the Family Medicine Center #2.
"Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev is now in the United Family Medicine Center #1 regarding destroyed vaccine. The case is under investigation," the Deputy Health Minister said.
The Parliament Committee is considering the draft agreement with the International Development Association concerning changes in the financing agreement for Covid-19 emergency response and additional financing for this project.
