NBKR tightened monetary policy amid inflationary acceleration

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Dastan Bekeshev asked central bank how buying gold could affect the exchange rate, and whether there is a forecast. Chairman of the National Bank Tolkunbek Abdygulov replied that it is better to answer such questions after the National Bank starts buying up this gold.
"Over the past 5 years, we are constantly buying a large amount of gold and all the mechanisms are worked out. We clearly know what an additional influx of money supply is and what consequences it has," he said.
The NBKR has recently moved to tighten monetary policy amid inflationary acceleration.
