Emergency situation declared in Bazar-Korgon over flooding fear

AKIPRESS.COM - An emergency situation was declared in the town of Bazar-Korgon in the Jalal-Abad region, said regional administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Due to an increase in the water level of the Kara-Unkur River, which flows through a number of settlements in Bazar-Korgon district, more than 100 houses have been threatened by flooding.
Work is underway to strengthen the shoreline. On May 5, the rising water level in the river posed a threat of flooding of houses in the village of Karacha of Beshik-Jon rural district.
400 liters of fuel and lubricants were allocated to carry out work in the spot. Special equipment of the local population was involved.
