Putin and Rahmon to discuss situation on Kyrgyz-Tajik border

AKIPRESS.COM - Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will discuss the situation on the border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan at a meeting on May 8 in Moscow, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti. The Tajik president's press service said earlier Emomali Rahmon will attend the Victory Parade in Moscow on May 9.
Tensions on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan escalated on April 28-29. The troops exchanged fire. Around 50 died and more than 200 were wounded from both sides as a result of the conflict.
