Kyrgyzstanis living in Chicago raised $70,000 for Batken residents affected by gunfire exchange

AKIPRESS.COM - The Kyrgyz diaspora in the United States has provided financial assistance of $70,000 to the affected residents of Batken region, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Kyrgyz diaspora in the city of Chicago organized fundraising campaign on May 1 and collected $70,000.
Part of the funds were raised through the ethnic food fair organized by the diaspora in the Chicago suburbs.
In addition, the Kyrgyz embassy received information that fundraising campaigns were launched by Kyrgyzstanis in other cities and states of the U.S.
