Tajikistan shelled Kyrgyz settlements from air using Mi-24 helicopter: Border Service

AKIPRESS.COM - Tajik military troops opened fire on Kyrgyz border outposts and border posts from mortar on April 29, the Border Service of the National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan reported on April 30.
"The Tajik side also shelled the Tort-Kocho and Chyr-Dobo settlements of the Batken district from the air using a Mi-24 helicopter," the Border Service said.
It also stresses that the conflict on the border was provoked by the Tajik side.
Tensions on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan escalated on April 28-29 and exchange of fire occurred between the military units of two sides.
13 Kyrgyz citizens were killed, including a 12-year-old girl. At least 134 Kyrgyzstanis were injured.
