3 Kyrgyz soldiers of special-purpose detachment Boru killed in Kyrgyz-Tajik border gunfire

AKIPRESS.COM - Three soldiers of the Boru special-purpose detachment of the Border Service of the State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan were killed in the April 29 clashes with the Tajik side, the press service of the Border Service reported. 22 soldiers were injured to various severity, the condition of two of them is assessed as critical.
Soldier Esentur Kubanychbekov is among the dead, sources said. He was 30 years old. His body will be brought today by a special flight from Batken.
Kyrgyz Border Service said the conflict on the border was provoked by the Tajik side. On April 29, Tajik military troops opened fire on Kyrgyz border outposts and border posts from mortar. The Tajik side also shelled the Tort-Kocho and Chyr-Dobo settlements of the Batken district from the air using a Mi-24 helicopter.
13 Kyrgyz citizens were killed, including a 12-year-old girl. At least 134 Kyrgyzstanis were injured.
