State of emergency declared in 3 rural municipalities in Batken region over Kyrgyz-Tajik border tension

AKIPRESS.COM - The state of emergency was declared in three rural municipalities of Batken district of Batken region.
Such decision was made by the region administration on April 28.
The state of emergency is introduced in Ak-Tatyr, Aksai and Samarkandek rural municipalities.
The local commission for civil defense and heads of rural municipalities are on high alert to timely respond to arising problems.
The state of emergency was declared in connection with escalation of tension on Kyrgyz-Tajik border.
Tajik citizens reportedly began attacking citizens of Kyrgyzstan and their houses with stones since early morning of April 29. They threw stones also in the cars on Isfana-Osh road belonging to Kyrgyz citizens. The fire was opened by Tajik citizens into the military unit in Kok-Tash village today.
