Mongolia reports 1098 new coronavirus cases, 8 deaths

AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia recorded 1,098 new coronavirus cases after 10,758 PCR tests conducted across the country, Ministry of Health reported on April 27. 957 new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city, six cases are imported cases from abroad, and 135 cases were detected in regions, including Zavkhan, Darkhan-Uul, Orkhon, Erdenet, Uvurkhangai, Dundgobi, Khovd, Selenge and Tuv aimags.
These new cases bring the nationwide infection tally to 32,437.
In the last 24 hours, 733 coronavirus patients recovered and were discharged from the hospital, making the total number of COVID-19 recoveries 17,543.
As of April 27, a total of 4,427 coronavirus patients are being treated at hospitals. 7,947 patients who are experiencing a mild disease are being treated at home.
The National Center for Communicable Diseases reported 8 new COVID-19 related deaths, raising the country's death toll to 88. Patients aged between 51 and 78 years old, who were staying at hospitals in Ulaanbaatar city, died.
