Funeral service held for Maria Aitmatova, widow of Chingiz Aitmatov

AKIPRESS.COM - A funeral service was held on April 21 for Maria Aitmatova, writer Chingiz Aitmatov's widow, at the Aitmatov House-Museum in Bishkek on April 21. About 100 people attended the funeral.
Maria Aitmatova died on April 20 at the age of 79.
According to preliminary reports, she died of complications from coronavirus infection.
She will be buried at the Ala-Archa cemetery.
