AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Health of Kazakhstan Alexei Tsoy said the forecast for the spread of coronavirus infection was updated taking into account the coverage of the population by vaccination.
Kazakhstan expects to record up to 3,000 daily cases of coronavirus in the best case scenario taking into account vaccination according to the schedule. In this case, the epidemic is expected to peak at the end of April.
Kazakhstan expects up to 4,000 daily cases and the peak in mid-May in the worst case scenario taking into account vaccination according to the schedule, he said.
The effect of vaccination in the first stage will be limited to the time needed to develop immunity. Later on, the vaccination effect will increase and have an impact on stabilizing the epidemic situation in the country, he said.
A total of 733,980 people in Kazakhstan have been vaccinated against coronavirus so far.
