Police chief tells if he is going to resign over fatal bride kidnapping case

AKIPRESS.COM - "I have to solve this case first," said head of the Bishkek Police Department Bakyt Matmusaev when asked at a press conference about his resignation over the murder of 27-year-old Aizada Kanatbekova, who was kidnapped.
Investigation is underway at the moment, he said.
"The Internal Investigation Service is looking into this situation. I have to solve this case first," he said.
The 27-year-old Aizada was kidnapped by several men on April 5 and was found dead two days later with one of them both dead in the car. The 36-year-old man strangled her to death and then reportedly committed suicide.
Abduction leading to murder of Aizada Kanatbekova sparked a nationwide outcry.
