Newborn in Tokmok tests positive for coronavirus infection

AKIPRESS.COM - A newborn tested positive for coronavirus infection in Tokmok, Chui region, Turmush reported. Tokmok Hospital said a woman was admitted to the maternity department on March 17 for emergency care. She was performed C-section.
After the woman's temperature elevated, she was tested for infections. Both the mother and the newborn tested positive for coronavirus infection. They did not have other symptoms.
"The mother and the baby were kept in a separate ward until March 25. After they were discharged from hospital, they remained under medical observation at home," the Hospital said.
Doctors suggested the woman contracted coronavirus 3-4 days ahead of hospitalization.
Condition of the mother and her child is satisfactory.
