Sokh-Rishtan road expected to reopen since April 1

AKIPRESS.COM - The road linking Rishtan and Sokh districts of Ferghana region of Uzbekistan running through the territory of Kyrgyzstan is planned to be reopened since April 1.
All border crossing points were prepared for road reopening before, UzA reported.
Reopening of all border crossing points on Uzbek-Kyrgyz border will facilitate further development of trade, economic cooperation, will boost tourism, said the report.
Sokh district is enclave entirely surrounded by the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The road to Sokh district was closed several years ago. Reopening of the road will shorten the travel distance for 80 km.
