1 million doses of Sino-Uzbek coronavirus vaccine arrive in Tashkent

AKIPRESS.COM - One million doses of Sino-Uzbek coronavirus vaccine ZF-UZ-VAC2001 arrived in Tashkent at the end of last week, the Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being and Public Health Service of Uzbekistan said.
This vaccine is effective in case of UK variant of COVID-19 and other variants, the Service said.
ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine forms immune response to synthesized external protein of coronavirus. Such vaccines are considered the safest compared to other types of vaccines, the Service added.
More than 7,000 people were vaccinated as part of the phase 3 of the trials of ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine in Uzbekistan. Condition of each volunteer is examined.
The vaccine was developed by the Microbiology Institute of the Academy of Sciences of China and Zhifei Longcom Biopharmaceutical. Uzbekistan was named co-author of the vaccine for contribution into its trials. ZF-UZ-VAC 2001 has become the first coronavirus vaccine registered in Uzbekistan.
