Ex-Deputy Interior Minister Asanov to remain in custody

AKIPRESS.COM - The Pervomaiskiy district court of Bishkek extended the detention period for ex-Deputy Interior Minister Kursan Asanov on March 20.
Asanov will remain in the reman prison of the State National Security Committee until May 26, his lawyer Ikramidin Aitkulov said.
Kursan Asanov was detained on suspicion of takeover of the Interior Ministry on January 26. He is accused of threat of violence against an official.
